Information about poster preparation and orientation
All posters
are required to conform to PORTRAIT ORIENTATION. Failure to follow
this requirement will mean that the poster will NOT FIT on the
allotted board.
1.
Dimensions
Poster BOARD
dimensions are 0.90 m wide and 1.10 m high.
2. Lay out
Divide the
poster into sections e.g. Title, Affiliation, Introduction, M&M,
Results, Conclusions, References and Acknowledgement.
3. Design
Posters
should be clear and easy to read. Type size should be sufficiently
large to allow people to read from 2-3 meters: A minimum of 1 cm
high for text and 2.5 cm high for titles. Do not reduce text size
in order to fit more information onto the poster. Design the poster
to convey a clear message. Avoid overload - too much information
seriously detracts from the overall impact. LESS IS BEST! The
simple use of color can enhance a presentation, but avoid the
temptation towards art! Consider the use of suitable photographs,
but DO NOT include them as a background to the poster.
4. Fastening
devices for poster
The congress
will prepare fastening devices, i.e., Velcro dots by the poster
orientation date (For a quick poster orientation, you could bring
your own fastening with you.)
5. Poster
display schedule
All posters
must remain on display for the full allocated day. Each full
registration will be permitted one poster and must attend to their
poster for the allocated session.
